Maria Chiara Carrozza è uno scienziato italiano, Professore di Bioingegneria Industriale, già Ministro dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca.
È stata membro del Parlamento dal 2013 al 2018, dal 2007 al 2017 è stata Rettore della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, attualmente è responsabile dell’Area “Neuro-Robotics” dell’Istituto di Biorobotica della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.

Dal 2016 è presidente del Gruppo Nazionale di Bioingegneria. Dal 2016/17 ha presieduto il panel di FET Flagships Program for the European Commission, DG Communication Networks, Content and Technology. È cofondatrice della start-up Iuvo, una spin-off della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna che si occupa di tecnologie indossabili per assistenza personale.
Dal 2015 è consigliere di amministrazione di Piaggio.
Da gennaio 2018 è Direttore Scientifico della Fondazione Don Gnocchi.

Maria Chiara Carrozza is an Italian scientist, full professor of bioengineering, she was Minister of Education, University and Research.
He was a member of Parliament from 2013 to 2018, from 2007 to 2017 he was Rector of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, she currently coordinates the NeuroRobotics Area in The Biorobotics Institute at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Since 2016 she is President of the Italian National Group of Bioengineering.

In 2016/17 she has been Chair of the Panel for the interim Evaluation of FET Flagships Program for the European Commission, DG Communication Networks, Content and Technology. She is Partner of the IUVO, a start-up in wearable robotics founded in 2015 as a spin off of The Biorobotics Institute.
Since 2015 she serves in the Board of Directors of the Piaggio Spa group.
Since 2018 she is Scientific Director of Fondazione Don Gnocchi
